Batteries recycling

B.W. Recycling, Inc is buying most kinds of batteries for recycling purposes, please note that we only buy in large quantities.

Individuals with smaller quantities of batteries should find their local recycling program for disposition of batteries.

As of today most electronics is running on some kind of batteries, even computers has small batteries on the main board, due to the materials that batteries are made of, batteries should be disposed of properly by recyclers which is certified to actually handle batteries recycling.

We buy the following:

• Lithium Ion batteries for recycling
• Nickel Metal (NiMh) batteries for recycling
• Nickel Cadmium batteries for recycling

We do not buy the following batteries in any quantity:

• Silver oxide batteries - this batteries contains mercury in larger amounts that silver, therefore we do not buy this kind of batteries for silver recovery, we do buy other materials for silver recovery such as silver plated printed circuit boards and x-ray film for silver recovery.
• Lead acid batteries - this kind of batteries contains lead in large quantities and the recycling process for these kind of batteries is very complex, there are some recyclers who can handle lead acid batteries for recycling.
